M-DOT AEROSPACE Specializes in Production of:
aircraft exhaust systems including -
- turboprop aircraft exhaust ducts, exhaust stacks, and eductor or ejector
pipes
- design, fabrication and repair of custom gas turbine exhaust ducts
- thin wall stainless steel and inconel ducts
- tig welding to Mil-W-2219 and customer specs
- stretch forming of thin wall compound shapes and elbows
With our 130 ton hydraulic stretch press, we can stretch form stainless steel sheet
metal parts at a lower overall cost than hydroforming for limited production
runs. We also do rubber pad hydroforming on our hydraulic press. Shapes include: elbows
for aircraft tailpipes and gas turbine exhaust systems, gores for dishes and curved flange
sections. In our gtaw ( tig ) welding department we can weld stainless steel and inco
alloys in thicknesses down to .005 inch. We are ISO9001 qualified.
Complex prototypes and laboratory systems including
- complete gas turbine engines for mav and uav use.
- airflow ducting and measuring systems in stainless steel and inco alloys
- venturi flow measuring sections
- stainless steel manifolds
M-DOT INC. Has a Complete Stand-Alone Engineering Department
Specializing In:
design of complete gas turbine engines and turbomachinery including -
- turbojets for unmanned vehicles and micro turbojets for micro air vehicles
( mav s)
- turboprops for unmanned vehicles ( heavy fuel engines ) and micro turbine
engines
- small turbofans
- small turbopumps for missiles and rockets
- ram air turbines
Under US Government (DARPA, Army, Navy and Air Force) Funding, we have
internally developed a 94 horsepower twin spool turboprop for uav propulsion called the
TPR80. The engine design can be produced in recuperated and non recuperated
form. We are currently developing a micro turbine engine under DARPA funding
that will propel micro-air vehicles ( mav s). This engine can be configured as a
variety of turbomachines including microturbojet, turboprop and turboshaft.

Gas turbine engine components and systems including -
- centrifugal and axial compressors
- combustors and burners
- gas turbine noise suppressors, silencers and mufflers for aircraft and APUs.
- radial inflow and axial turbines
- gearboxes and reduction drives and associated shaft dynamics analysis
- accessories including afterburners, thrust reversers and pumps
Through our participation in government and commercially funded development
programs, we have developed expertise in structural design and aerodynamic
design of silencers, mufflers, centrifugal compressors, axial fans and compressors, annular and
can type combustors and burners, radial inflow turbines and axial turbines,
turbine castings, impeller castings, high speed gearboxes and fluid pumps. We
have also developed a specialization in microturbines, microcompressors and
tiny burners. Our capable engineers are experienced in aerodynamics, foil bearings,
shaft dynamics, stress analysis, and cycle thermodynamics. We are conducting research
in the fields of ultra high speed turbine, alternator and electric motor development
achieving speeds in excess of 500,000 rpm. Our goal is to reach a million rpm in a
microturbine, motor or alternator
Other turbomachines and systems including -
- small turbopumps for rockets and missiles
- tiny centrifugal compressors, microcompressors and tiny blowers
- micro refrigerators and coolers
- exhaust eductors and ejectors
- stainless steel manifolds
We have produced and successfully tested a tiny jet-fuel turbopump for the Navy capable
of achieving 1300 psi output pressure at roughly 100,000 rpm. We have designed
and fabricated a noise suppressing exhaust system for an apu that reduced back
pressure yielding a remarkable increase in power.
